It seems that the list mentioned is not maintained by the official quad9/IBM staff. Is the list trustworthy?

Also, Quad9 has lost against Sony Music and has to stop resolving specific domains: https://www.quad9.net/news/blog/quad9-and-sony-music-german-injunction-update-for-february-2023//

Does that blocklist also contain those domains (now and in the future)?

Yes, quad9 talked about it on his site about this legal battle against sony, quad9 lost the battle but not the war and quad9 appealed this court decision that quad9 finds unfair ....

and I admit, I use quad9 dns and 2 days ago, I can no longer access my favorite streaming site where I watch anime, and I tried with other dns providers and I was able to access this streaming site .....

even if quad9 seems to censor certain sites under pressure and threats, I can install several web browsers and put quad9 dns in a web browser where I do banking operations for example because quad9 seems to be the best secure dns in the world, I read their news and quuad9 regularly adds a lot of features, AI to detect threats ....

i was very surprised to find quad9 blocklist, it should be an industrial secret, i was looking for alternative dns after quad9 dns blocks my favorite streaming site and i found a german dns and reading the blocklists that this dns includes, i saw quad9 dns blocklist and it greatly surprised and astonished me!!

Quad9 could fail the legal battle with another company, again. Unlike Cloudflare and Google which has a way large team of lawyers, Quad9 doesn't have that advantage.

I can install several web browsers and put quad9 dns in a web browser

It is only applicable to a tiny subset of users, not most of them out there. The same applies to DNS.SB's users.

Yess, but I discover with horror and sadness that even cloudflare dns and google dns have blocked my favorite streaming site !! while cloudflare has committed to doing its best not to censor sites despite complaints and pressure, and even with the team of lawyers of these gigantic multinationals, google dns and cloudflare dns supposed to be neutral have blocked this site !!

the quad9 dns blocklist is integrated into the list :

Listen Hard

| Title: Blocklists used by hard.dnsforge.de

| Description: Managed by selected community members

so apparently yes, quad9 blocklist seems not to be an official list but a community list.....

an interesting thing, in ublock origin extension manifest v2 in firefox, supermium, r3dfox, catsxp....browsers, I disabled the "Badware risks" list to make ublock origin lighter especially since I use a dns that blocks malware, and there despite ublock origin being enabled, I had a lot of pop-up windows, ads.....so this Badware risks list is essential and I see that the German dns Dnsforge has integrated this list into its dns Listen Hard :

uBlock₀ filters – Badware risks

https://adguardteam.github.io/HostlistsRegistry/assets/filter_50.txt

and also dnsforge listen hard integrates this list :

phishing-filter

https://malware-filter.gitlab.io/malware-filter/phishing-filter-agh.txt

i think it will be great if our beloved DNS.SB integrates these essential fundamental lists, because adblocker manifest v3 on chromium browsers are less effective and a dns that blocks malwares and bad things can help adblocker rules limited by manifest v3 limitations of rules, thank you very much!
