10 years ago This is probably caused by updates to the website API, 4chan site, or browser updates.
No ideas on how to fix (I guess you could use something like 4chan-x embedding,) because this plugin has basically reached the end of its life, and I don't plan on supporting it much more.
The link preview thing I'm working on moving into a separate plugin, but that may take time.
So apparently when I try to play anything through the player it shows infos when hovering over the link, but when I actually click on it the player opens but the songs/videos never start playing, on youtube I just get that blank page while soundcloud shows the playlist and all the songs in it, but still won't play them. It's been an issue I've had for a long time, when I installed this though I remember that pictures with audio would work, so apparently nothing works but that single thing, although I haven't tried opening a picture with it in a long time. Here are some screenshots from both trying to open a Youtube and a Soundcloud link. Any idea on how to fix this?
I'm not sure if this is related but when I left click a Youtube link, even though I have the "Left click open" option enabled, it would still open the video BOTH in the player and in a new tab, with the one in the player obviously not working. If I try closing the player and clicking on the link again it won't open either in a new tab or in the player anymore and I have to refresh the page for it to work again (or middle click it).
I'm running it on Chrome and I have no userscript plugins.
