so 4cs on 4chan is dead in the water and people are moving to a new site now, any chance you can get this to work on 8chan? embedded images are approved and seem to have no problem being posted, just need a media player to load images.

I really like this idea. We could have the sound threads that moot wouldn't let us have.

Suggestion: If .webm's (with sound) aren't enabled on the site, try to get someone to enable them. Webm (even as a static image) + .ogg audio would probably be a better idea than image embedded sounds.

Porting 4cs to 8chan could be problematic because 1) I wouldn't maintain it, and 2) the site itself may prove to be a hassle to work with.

They are enabled but going through those individually is far more inconvenient and less comfy than just a playlist that goes onto the next song after it's finished. I understand you not wanting it maintain it though.

If you could find someone willing to make a .webm playlist extension, I'm sure that would be rather easy.

Far easier and more lightweight than porting 4cs with full embedded sounds support. Working with <video> tags is simple enough.

I got 4cs to work for 8chan by replacing that 38chan with 8chan quite a while ago, but for some reason it broke post updating. I thought it had to do with appending information to the posts themselves but I couldn't seem to resolve the issue. There's other things that don't really work like it will only attach itself to the first image in a multi-image post, and the op doesn't work, didn't bother looking to see how to do that.
