This happens to me too. I'm not sure why. It didn't used to happen. R13 Oneshot
is coming out on Friday. I would just wait for that.

Try this,
Plug your iphone in using usb.
Then put your iphone into recovery mode
Last open Quadra and click go.
It will work

That does not work. I have tried every variation of plugging and unplugging and
powering that you can imagine.
The app just quits unexpectedly and nothing happens thereafter. The happens
with both Quadra and the Installer when you reach the "load install" phase of
the process.
At this point, it is better to just wait for the update that should be coming
tomorrow.

If it makes a difference, I have a 8GB 3G model that I jailbroke through the
Comex web browser pdf hack. It is completely clean, there are no apps or media
loaded to the phone other than the necessary cydia apps (ssh and sbsettings)

@ Akaja90 and GATORSHOES22:
Is this the "jailbreakme.com" hack? I used the exact same method and am having
the same problem (more or less, can't install anything past when it goes
"Please put your iPhone into recovery mode and press install") as you guys,
perhaps it's the method we used to hack our iPhones which is the problem.

I did not use that jailbreak. It's not recommended to use that jailbreak
either. But it may be the problem in your case. Whats your OS? Im running
4.0.0. Haven't updated to 4.0.1

Sorry, my misunderstanding Gatorshoes22. As for my iOS, it's 4.0.0 just like
yours. I'm beginning to suspect that it's the method I used to jailbreak with
so I'm gonna investigate that tonight.
(Also, in case it helps anyone, my computer that I'm actually using is a Mac
Mini from the first half of 2009, in the unlikely event that the computer is
part of the problem).
