Backup your iPhone 3G
Install/Restore IOS 4.0.1

Download IOS4.0 (there are links everywhere on the net)
Download redsn0w 0.9.5b5-5 (again find a link)
Download iPhoDroid Quadra
Download iPhoDroid 0.6 (Beta r12d at the time of writing)

NOW:

Jailbreak your iPhone with redsn0w using the IOS4.0 downloaded earlier, yes
this works when you are running IOS4.0.1

Once you have Jailbroken Phone go to Cydia and install OpenSSH

Put your phone into restore mode and run iPhoDroid Quadra, this will give you
dual boot options.

Now reboot into iPhone and run iPhoDroid 0.6Beta r12d - let this go through
steps 1 - 8, when you get to the screen that says put your phone into recovery
mode click cancel and stop using iPhoDroid

Reboot your phone and select install from the Quadra dual boot option screen

Voila - once the install has run it should all start working

I have done the above process on two different iPhone 3G handsets and it is
working great on both.

Supposed to be in restore mode. Plug your phone into your PC whilst turned on,
make sure iTunes detects it. Hold the home and the power button (the phone will
go off after a few secs). When you see the apple logo release the power button
but continue to hold the home button. When you see the connect to iTunes image
release the home button and do Quadra install!

You iPhone must be jailbroken, i used redsn0w to jailbreak. If you used
jailbreakme.com it might not work, mine didnt so i had to restore then
re-jailbreak

Touchscreen worked perfectly, a few other bugs but you can get around and see
it all working.

i did it. it worked. the touchscreen works fine. but it prompts me for a pin
code when i try to unlock it. so i tried entering the pin for my sim card. it
says that its incorrect. i tried it several more times. same thing. how do you
unlock an android iphone. if it helps, im on t-mobile.

The only pin should be your sim pin. Try putting your sim into another phone
and removing the sim lock then boot into Android again. Its not completely
stable yet and the battery does not last but its great progress. Just waiting
for 1SHOT now, supposed to be released yesterday!!!

i followed these directions and my wifi works. calls dont work on the 3G
idroid, use skype. unlock works fine unless you have a sim pin. there
currently seems to be a problem with the app launcher, though. see issue 82.
