An uncaught exception occurred! #257

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start PeerBlock
2. Click "check updates"
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Lists should update. They are all displaying "Connecting..." and are
stalled, and I get an "uncaught exception" error that says:

An uncaught exception occurred!
Please report this error, including that follows to the PeerBlock team at
http://forums.peerblock.com. Thank you for helping us improve PeerBlock!
Build Number" 30911210223
File: .\updatelists.cpp
Line: 949

What version of PeerBlock are you using? On what operating system? 32- or
64-bit?

PeerBlock Version is 1.0 (r223). I am using Windows XP Pro SP3 32-bit. This
error just started today. Attached is a screenshot and the error log. I
don't have the "update at startup" option checked in "settings". I tried
rebooting without luck.

Thanks

Scott

Could you please upload your peerblock.conf, too, so that we can check which
list-URLs you have specified? Generally speaking, when we see exceptions in
this
area of code it's because you have the same list in there multiple times,
sometimes
via a Default List as well as a bluetack.co.uk-hosted version of the same file.

I deleted the list files in the "C:\Program Files\PeerBlock\lists" folders. I
then
started PeerBlock, and it didn't crash. All the lists files updated, and it
seems to
be working fine now.

Looks like it's good.

Open another issue if it carries on.
