Images for PostgreSQL 16 beta 1 #1089

Hi there,

First thanks for the work you are doing. Our open source operator for Kubernetes CloudNativePG relies on your images to build the container images for our operands - which require additional layers (see the postgres-containers project).

In order to facilitate the testing and evaluation of PostgreSQL 16, given that beta 1 was recently announced, it would be great to have PostgreSQL 16 beta 1 container images. Are you planning to produce them?

Since the packages are already available in the PostgreSQL apt repository, this is an easy addition: https://github.com/docker-library/postgres/pull/1090
