Docker fails to start #300

Seems related to #246, #247, #276, #296

Note that this is macOS 10.11.6, not 10.12.x, so it is unlikely that this is related to #64

The only way I was able to fix this was by using the Docker for Mac -> Preferences -> Reset feature. This is undesirable, as it meant that I had to rebuild all of my docker containers.

Expected behavior

Opening docker for mac should start docker

Actual behavior

Docker remains stuck in "docker starting…" state in menubar

Detected symptom of problem 'assertion-failed' in 7CF4BD4D-2188-483F-B5A8-0CE4D2A9D151/20160816-100814.

An Assertion failure relating to a Docker component was found in the system logs.

May be related to docker/hyperkit#50
