just updated to the latest version today and it wouldn't re-start on its own. Rebooted (it's normally set to load on startup) and also didn't start (no error messages ever).
Manually tried starting and I get this:
Windows 10x64 / WSL2
Also just update to the latest version, encounter the same error. don't do some tests before release?
I made the mistake of uninstalling Docker Desktop, and reinstalling. Now it's going through the whole setup process and none of my containers, images, or settings are there!!! Soo p'd off.
Is your wsl running? try pulling up the wsl or ubuntu applications

Hi
Yes, my WSL/Ubuntu is running fine. Just now:
Sorry to hear you're having trouble. There's not enough information in this bug report for us to determine what problem you're having, so I'm going to close this issue. Please upgrade to the latest version here: https://docs.docker.com/desktop/release-notes/#docker-desktop-4131
If you're still having problems, there are instructions on how to troubleshoot and upload diagnostics here: https://docs.docker.com/desktop/troubleshoot/overview/

Looks like you're suffering from what I call "Close-itis"; where devs are super-quick to close unsolved issues, almost as if it's a competition to see who can close it first, rather than just leave it open and let people chime in until it's truly solved.
Based on the activity in the thread, including Likes, it appears worthy of keeping open, as it is an issue still.
Normally I wouldn't add a "me too", but in this case I'll make an exception. I have this issue too, latest docker, latest win 10, WSL backend, latest WSL. Docker just fails to start, WSL still works normally. Docker is critical to my dev environment, so I'm completely stuck right now
Where does Docker Desktop store it's container/images/networks/etc. info?

Could've asked for logs and settings before closing the issue entirely...
@nicks I have the same issue as @YouveGotMeowxy where Docker Desktop fails to start, and I get the same pop-up. This is after updating today to the latest 4.13.1. Somehow my docker-desktop
wsl distro was removed, but my docker-desktop-data
is still present:
@YouveGotMeowxy your logs have this error message:
setting overrides for proxies: computing HTTPIP of 192.168.65.0/28: prefix of 28 does not accommodate a host numbered 128
which likely means you're hitting https://github.com/docker/for-win/issues/13025, and should be fixed when you upgrade.
Re: "closing the issue entirely" -- on every large open source project I've worked on, there's an emergent phenomenon that happens where
So we close issues that have turned into "unrelated issue" buckets, because they don't really help anyone resolve the problems.
Closed issues are locked after 30 days of inactivity. This helps our team focus on active issues.
