Docker Desktop (Windows 10/WSL2) keeping ram allocated with each docker build #13226

Open jessielw opened 1 year ago

jessielw commented 1 year ago

Actual behavior

Docker takes more and more ram each time you build

Expected behavior

Docker to not take all the ram

Information

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Build an image in WSL2 with docker on Windows and watch the memory never come back
  2. Only solution is to fully shut off docker and use the command wsl --shutdown to make things work like they should

I am going to install docker on WSL2 for the time being as I cannot keep fighting this ram :(
