Kitematic not working with native docker on Mac #3998

Expected behavior

Clicking the menu bar icon for Docker and then clicking Kitematic should open the Kitematic window with connection to the local docker.

Actual behavior

Kitematic opens and says "VirtualBox is not installed. Please install it via the Docker Toolbox"

Information about the Issue

Kitematic should run with the local docker. I have had this work in the past but now it's requiring the legacy Docker Toolbox that shouldn't be a requirement for running Kitematic and docker anymore.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Install Docker for Mac
  2. Click the Kitematic window
  3. Download if Kitematic no available
  4. Open Kitematic

seems that Kitematic was deprecated. https://github.com/docker/kitematic/issues/2817

There have been commits since that thread. It's also included within the Docker dropdown. I would hope that if they were going to deprecate it there would be more information. However, I will say that it's a pain to find and download, so maybe it is on the way out.

I'd like to continue using it, it was convenient.
