Windows 10 Kitematic not launching #4684

Expected behavior

Clicking create hello-world-nginx should create and start docker container

Actual behavior

Message context-cancelled

Information about the Issue

Brand new docker desktop install on windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299

Docker Desktop Version 2.0.0.3 (31259) Docker engine 18.09.02 Docker default settings (native not virtualbox)

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Install docker desktop on windows 10 pro
  2. Launch docker desktop
  3. Login into docker hub
  4. Launch Kitematic
  5. Click on create link of hello-world-nginx

Error

On my mac, no issue, i have never successfully got Docker Desktop Kitematic to work on various windows 10 Pro machines.

I have seen the above issue on 2 windows 10 pro machines

@danielleahyinsight I get the same issue. Any workaround for this ?

No I didn't get kitematic working on windows 10

I did get docker working on windows 10

I found somewhere the docker setting on windows 10 It does expose a security issue On the taskbar, rightclick on the docker icon, go to settings tick the expose daemon on tcp://localhost:2375 without TLS
