Developers have preferred terminals to work in which are setup to work for them, but the desktop UI currently opens the machine's built-in terminal not the user's preferred terminal.

Using Alacrity rather than button in Desktop UI

Additional context This issue was previously on the roadmap but solved only for users who prefer iTerm2: https://github.com/docker/roadmap/issues/98
