our main product we have is called ZEN, which is a big SW platform to control microscopy and do image & data analysis
it can be installed using a dedicated installer called ZMI = ZEISS Microscopy Installer, which is expected to install all required components in order to use its full functionality
part of the functionality is to use so called "APEER modules" which are essentially docker containers with an UI
such modules can be also used from within the main SW on the local user your local system
therefore Docker has to be installed on the local system as well
currently this is done by pointing the user to the Docker website to install it on their own.
This is what is perceived as "user-unfriendly" in the sense that our customers

Allow 3rd parties to automatically install Docker as part of their own installer and allow to distribute the Docker installer as part of the "bigger installer" in order to create a seamless user workflow, where only on installer has to be executed.
