Using the sidebar search box gets me a 404 error on submission.

Yep, same thing. Unable to search anything.

Probably to be removed, since our docs are a static website with no search backend.

May be use third-party search functionality? It requires only a couple of js scripts in page.

Not worth it: allinurl:doctrine-project.org <search-term> is sufficient.

So... Shouldn't the searchbox redirect to allinurl:doctrine-project.org <search-term>? 👍

@gnxdev are you still working on this, it is very annoying to see a comprehensive library with a bunch of great APIs but the search is not working.
