Yes, it is time. I'm not sure that I'll have a chance to do it before the election ... but hopefully soon after.

I'm also +1 on this, since I'd like to package jammit into Fedora and problems with packaging Java part of yui-compressor have been keeping me from doing so. Now that jammit doesn't require that, it'd be great to have new version released.
Still +1 on this.

yes please
Assuming we're talking about the same election, I think we're well past it... :) Anything we can do to help get this going?
To be honest, and with all due respect to @jashkenas, I think it might be more helpful for someone to volunteer to take over maintenance and to fork the project. Jeremy is on a trip around the world, and I think he's probably lost interest in maintaining this project.
Hi guys, i just got rights from @jashkenas to cut jammit gems last week.
I also happen to be busy working on a bunch of other DocumentCloud related projects, but at least you've got two people you can yell at now rather than just one ;)

this would be super great! anything we can do to help, @knowtheory ?
any idea when this will happen? @knowtheory
We're only a couple years late in closing this issue.
We've been using jammit master branch on development machines for a while now.
Perhaps it's time to release a new gem so that we can use it on staging and production servers?
