App opening takes time #12

Each time when the app is opened, the refresh icon gets displayed and we will not be able to open any folders and view photos until the refresh completes.. And this refresh takes quite a time and that's irritating!

Sorry, missed to include the details.. Device : Redmi Note 4 Android : 6.0.1 OS: MIUI 8.2 Global Stable

Another issue is... The thumbnails are not displayed immediately.. For e.g. I have a folder with approx 30 video files (folder size approx 5 GB) and whenever I open this folder I see the big gray blocks and thumbnails slowly appear after sometime..

These are the 2 main issues, I see with this app right now..

Thanks for the wonderful app though.. I like your idea and philosophy 🙌

Startup speed is directly related to the number of files you have in your albums. On startup, the app is only verifying the number of files matches the last time the app was used.

As for the video thumbnails, either you're local cache reached it's limit and had to regenerate those thumbnails or if you perform a pull-to-refresh, this also clears the local cache (this is done intentionally for a different reason).
