Item size miscalculation #75

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Item's that are 1.5m^3 are being calculated as 1m^3 what creates a tremendous
problem if you forget to convert it first.

I'm using version K on windows 7 64bit

These goods are livestock, Mechanical Parts and polytextiles. These are the
ones I know of.

This is due to a load of new items and changes to things that were introduced
in Tyrannis, the EveMarketTool.dll when compiled includes dbo_invTypes.CSV a
pre-Tyrannis EVE database dump, and is out of date in a "plethora" of different
aspects. Until someone updates NavBot with a new revision since the dbo file is
embedded into the DLL you're stuck compiling the package yourself of manually
compensating for the errors.

Does anyone know if the NavBot team even looks at this anymore ? Seems like
that would have been on the to-do list the day of or after Tyrannis update. I
mean I suppose I could recompile the EveMarketTool.dll and attach it to a
comment but Id like to have permission first.

You are the NavBot team! :-) Actually there isn't really a NavBot 'team', just
individual contributors who submit patches whenever something needs changing. I
started NavBot way back, but haven't played EVE for three years and don't
follow its progress any more. It's a good point, though, and I'm updating the
landing page to point out that if anyone wants to become the maintainer they
should contact me.

In the meantime I'm more than happy to give you commit access to the SVN so
that you can merge your changes and put out a new version. Just send
mark.oconnor@gmail.com your gmail address and I'll set it all up!
