Revert "Added some historical information" #277

This reverts commit 9072f4fd457e11b17988e5f1818cbe8ac4dba967.

This repo is configured with merge rules which are fairly simple:

^ This has been explained to every contributor

Using admin privileges to bypass the repository rules should obviously only ever be used in an extreme emergency, ie: preventing an exploitable bug etc.

Apologies, I made a mistake in how I updated that text (changing the file directly versus raising a PR). The mobile UX in the Android app is really poor, sadly.

The text had gone through multiple revisions and approvals, but I admit is still not entirely clear (and e.g. shouldn't use the word "original" in two different ways in one sentence) and should be updated.

In any case, it should have of course been done properly here.
