@matt-gadd I could add a section, if we think it's worth mentioning, something like:

Improvements for `serve` and `watch` options in `@dojo/cli-build-app`

The @dojo/cli-build-app command includes a number improvements to for running a development server:

Rebuilds your application when you make any changes within the project directory, not limited to src and test directories.
Automatic browser refresh support your application is rebuilt during watch when running the development server (using serve).
Customized HMR client that does not affect your built application bundles
Conditionally loads HMR client only when using the serve option
Fallback to default index.html and rewrite resources when using the StateHistory history manager with @dojo/framework/routing

@agubler sounds good to me. we should also mention that the confusing memory-serve has been removed. perhaps change hmr to just live reload in the text laos?

@matt-gadd people using the memory option won't get an "unsupported option" error but it will just run unified watch against real files.

I'll say that the two modes have been unified into a single watch mode
