Google Drive cannot be opened #472

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. File, Open
2. Select Google Drive (takes very long)
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: A file browser where I can open files.
Instead: Either (1) browser hangs, until I force-close it, or (2) a message 
shows up that there are no starred files (not true!), or (3) the directory (tab 
'all files') shows up empty, which is also not true.

What version of the product are you using? On what browser?
Acer Chromebook, Chrome

Please provide any additional information below.
I am moving to google docs, including TeX editing. My impression is that of all 
editors available, this may be the most brilliant one, if it works. Thank you, 
and fingers crossed.
