Have you tried these steps?

Is there already an open topic for this issue? similar - but different working functionality.

Please include the following information.

System Report:

Your Issue: I have successfully run the tool, and everything reports as ok. I can see my phone as a personal hotspot in the wifi menu but when I try to connect it spends a while connecting and I get an error saying "Failed to enable hotspot on ". I also do not seem to be getting any other functionality. I once saw an icon for handoff, but when I clicked on it I had no success..

Name: MacBook Pro Bluetooth Low Energy Supported: Yes Handoff Supported: Yes Instant Hot Spot Supported: Yes Manufacturer: Broadcom Transport: USB Chipset: 20702A3 Firmware Version: v14 c4096

Steps done to try to fix the issue: I have uninstalled and re-installed CAT several times, and added and removed iCloud accounts.

A bit more info: I can activate the hotspot on my phone remotely from either an iPad, or another phone that shares the same iCloud account

Thanks, could you please try logging out of iCloud, rebooting and loggin back in?

Morsey commented 7 years ago

Thanks - have signed out in the preferences, rebooted and then signed back in again. Took a few minutes for my phone to appear as a personal hotspot in wifi menu, but unfortunately the same result :( "Unable to start personal hotspot..."

Same with handoff. But Airdrop working.
