Have you tried these steps? Wiki being developed as of this day 13:42 27/11/16

Is there already an open topic for this issue? I found one similar: https://github.com/dokterdok/Continuity-Activation-Tool/issues/358 Please include the following information.

Your Issue:I have tried everything I could get my hands on reading. My computer crashes with the stock IOCluetoothFamily.kext on boot and I cant get the modified kext to stop the crashing. I am spent right now. I can not get past this screen:

Verifying Mac model reference... WARNING. The compatibility of this Mac Model (MacBookPro4,1) with this mod is unknown and may have unpredictable results Do you want to proceed anyways? 1) Yes 2) No

Verifying Mac board-id... OK Verifying OS X version... OK Verifying Wi-Fi hardware... OK Verifying Bluetooth version... NOT OK. Your hardware doesn't support Bluetooth 4.0, necessary for Continuity Current LMP Version=4, expected 6. Aborting.

Press any key to go back to the main menu...

Steps done to try to fix the issue: tried multiple CAT, made rootless=0, removed kext, attempted forcing, but Terminal failed to run sudo sh compatitool - f "no such file or directory" "command not found" (or anything like that), tried multiple cards and adapters.

LMP Version 4 would suggest that your card is only Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR compliant.

Please post your information under System Information - Bluetooth.

Please also run "ioreg -l | grep LMPVersion" in Terminal (without the quotes) and post the output.
