Have you tried these steps?

Is there already an open topic for this issue? Yes

Please include the following information.

Your Issue: After installing CAT macbook failed to reboot. I've already reported this issue but nobody seemed to understand what happened. I really want Continuity features to work so if anybody knows something that might help please let me know.

Steps done to try to fix the issue: Only solution to this problem is reinstall macOS El Sierra in security mode, but I really want CAT to work, wich I can't with this procedure.

I had the same issue with a mid-2010 13-inch-MacBookPro in the summer (of 2016). I only want AirDrop, really. I needed to reinstall my system twice or three times. So, since then I refuse to try CAT again, unless I will have read about someone with my model being successful. By now I have the latest MacOS Sierra 10.12.3.

Now my question to you, AMMoita: Have you tried the latest beta, which you get here: https://github.com/dokterdok/Continuity-Activation-Tool/archive/beta.zip/?

Maybe you have esprit and élan to try it. If yes, please tell us, how it went! Thanks in advance!

Bad luck @Bobeau ... Unfortunately I've tried it already and my macbook wouldn't boot either.

I'm currently in the same position as you, I won't try CAT again unless someone tells me that progress has been made to solve this problem wich seems to happen only to this specific model (MBP mid2010 13-inch).

Until then, my ASUS dongle is waiting to be used at my desk. Cheers
