Have you tried these steps? Yes

Is there already an open topic for this issue? Not that I can see

Please include the following information.

Your Issue:I ran the latest beta of CAT after switching off sip, compatibility and install seemed to go fine apart from one line that said - NOT OK IOBluetoothfamily.kext backup failed, so I enabled Automatic check for Continuity but when it rebooted it goes to blank screen, I tried some hard reboots, but it still boots to white blank screen. I ran first aid in recovery & rebooted I initially saw some black text but it booted to blank screen.

Steps done to try to fix the issue: I tried to boot to safe mode but it reboots, So I’ve been trying to get to the CAT app to uninstall from terminal via the recovery but I can’t find the correct terminal commands. Any suggestions before I wipe and restore? I’m working from my clone meanwhile..Maybe I can install CAT while running my clone backup but I’m not sure of the dir commands for that either. I’ll keep looking however, I’m sure I can suss it once I find out the dir commands for it to run.

I managed to fix it by restoring my kexts manually from the clone, it would then boot, and I ran the uninstall, CAT said no backups could be found but went through check list of restoring factory kexts, I re-enabled Sip and the system seems to be fine.
If anyone has any tips where I might have gone wrong I'll gladly try the beta again.

I spoke too soon, just noticed my wifi & bluetooth is crossed out with no hardware detected, I can't no copy my kexts from my clone as the system gives an error saying they can't be used. No idea what the uninstaller did but it looks like the system is buggered now..dam..time to wipe & restore..

Any help or advice?

Whenever that used to happen to me, I simply moved the known good kexts back into place, one way or another. Then I'd run the tool to ensure the proper caches are dumped.

Can you try with SIP disabled? I remember reading in another thread, that similar issues seems to depend on the SIP status.
