Will CAT work under Mojave or not? #446

It would be great if the documentation for this project got updated for Mojave. I have a Mac that should be able to run Mojave and have no idea if I should attempt to update without knowing if CAT is going to work.

Mac Pro (2012), model 5,1

I've submitted a pull request to the documentation regarding Sierra, but it's been sitting for nearly a year without being merged. Is this project dead?

I have a 2009 Mac Pro updated to 5.1 firmware with a compatible 4.0 LTE Bluetooth and Wifi card. Was fine until Mojave. I have chatted with the Mac devs and they claim nothing has changed that would prevent this hack from working (assuming they aren't lying). Hardware list hasn't changed for sure. Anyway to either edit and use this tool as is or get a fix? Diagnostics reports this:

Verifying Wi-Fi hardware... NOT OK. No compatible Broadcom AirPort card is active, Continuity won't work. Active kexts: .

What Mac developers? Apple? Apple actually talked to you about a Mac that was hacked?

I've seen this once or twice with mine under Sierra. It was temporary and cleared up after rebooting. Probably a coincidence since I also have VPN software that kills the Wifi interface if the VPN is dropped.

While I appreciate your response to my question, it's still unanswered. I have a stock machine that does not need any hacks to run Mojave. I wish the developer(s) of CAT would respond to some of these more recent threads.

Hi please can you tell me if your tool will work with Mojave OS.

Also is this project still being manned by anyone?

maciboy commented 5 years ago

For me the tool works with 10.14.1 on a MBP 6,2 (2010, 15“) with BT 4.0 dongle: https://github.com/dokterdok/Continuity-Activation-Tool/issues/438#issuecomment-436787007

I've tried running the fix on Mojave, it does not work and stops the OS from booting up. I had to put the machine in to recover mode, and had to reinstall Mojave, 10.14.1 before being able to get access to the drive again.

Please update software so it can be used on Mojave.
