Kernel Panic on Mojave with MacBook Pro Early 2009(17inch) #472

Please include the following information.

Your Issue: After installation, It gets infinity loop on startup, and sometimes gets kernel panic when it’s rebooting. Then never be able to login.

Steps done to try to fix the issue: I had no idea so that I restored with my TimeMachine data.

I actually had the same scenario happen with my 2009 MacPro tower. I went to upgrade the OS (using DOSdude's Catalina patcher, which was also the installed OS), only to find that USB installer was the only drive recognized. Without USB drive = infinite boot loop.

The odd part was finding that the drive booted 100% fine when connected externally to my 2015 MacBook.

I'm going to run the CAT installer on the MacBook, using the -z option the uninstall.
