Probable drivers / Kext issue with MBP 6,1 (mid-2010) #55

Hi there, Let's first say that the diag tool warned me that "Verifying Mac model reference... WARNING. The compatibility of this Mac Model (MacBookPro6,1) with this mod is unknown and may have unpredictable results"

That said, ContinuityTool does the job and allows me to play with handoff features includind call transfers. I have installed a BCM94331PCIEBT4CAX Airport WIFI Bluetooth 4.0 in my MPB 2010 after a lot of trimming in the plastic case that holded the previous one.

But, here are the troubles :

At this point, I've decided to leave my new Broadcom card in the MBP and uninstall the patches. The situation is stable, and I'm waiting for the 10.10.1 version on Mac OS that will maybe include more stable drivers.

Hope it helps someone.

Gerald

For the record, 10.10.1 seemed to greatly improve the reliability of wifi with patch applied.

My Mac model is Macbook Pro 6,2(Mid 2010, 15") and I've also installed the new BCM94331PCIEBT4CAX Airport WIFI Bluetooth 4.0 module. After apply the CAT patch, all of the continuity function seems good but also have the WIFI bandwidth issue. The network speed slow down to lower than 1Mbps(normally ~30Mbps with the same source)。

After several times of verify, I've confirmed that the issue occurred while the CAT enabled. And the symptom disappeared after uninstall the CAT.

Is there any one have the the issue and if there is any work round? Please help me on it. I really need the continuity function enable but not slow WIFI performance. Thanks a lot.

note: my OS is 10.10.1
