cook fails to chmod+x the desktop file under Ubuntu and Manjaro ... no idea why that is.

need to check this again. maybe the "trusted" feature is something else...

this is due to how WMs handle desktop files! They seem to enforce a user confirmation that something should be a runnable desktop file... so...nothing to do there...
