Kinda just a pipedream idea, but Windows XP msstyles are openly readable for interpretation from a mere Resource Extraction - this would probably be best explored in a world after KDE has decided on a full Plasma global style engine-design, but wouldn't it be cool to be able to out-right convert msstyles into one of those?
Of course, some sacrifices would have to be made, most likely, such as having a unified panel-system tray look* kinda like WindowBlinds, to work around the 'one panel background for all of the panel' limitation, and, unless one can add text and make it have the correct font, sizing, and fit within the button, a labelless Start Button, but still.
