Yo!

Would you be intersted in having a pure JS-alternative for leveldown in here? I'm working on getting https://github.com/kesla/medeadown as stable as can be, and using it for npmd would be a pretty cool use case!

Please let me know if you're interested and I can setup a PR and run it locally for some time to make sure that it's behaving as expected!

Yes please! another option is to downify nedb https://www.npmjs.org/package/nedb would be great to remove compliation and so it would be much easier to install on windows.
