emit sync in when data is a string too #8

scuttlebutt/model in the browser over mux-demux was not working for me until I added this line. This change possibly breaks things but it turned my inoperable example into an operable one so it perhaps merits investigation. I'll put the example up later today so you can verify my anecdotal evidence.
