QR-code plugin is blinking #2

When you have the QR-code plugin installed, and the out of paper message (from the printer-refill-message plugin) appears, the QRcode is still on the screen (and blinking) how can I remove the QR-code from the out-of-paper message screen?

OR,

wouldn't it be better to give the user these options:

continue without the print-option
refill the paper (and reset through the menu)
