Hello, do you think it would be possible to make patch for AR300M - so it can be used with latest trunk of the openwrt - https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt - or if you could just create pull request to official repository that would be great!

Thanks a lot.

vavrecan commented 8 years ago

@alzhao please, can you have a look on this? :+1: I could help so that AR300M will get into official trunk of openwrt, which would be awesome :+1:

alzhao commented 8 years ago

Thanks. AR300M nor version can be submitted to openwrt without problem. It has been submitted to lede already. The problem is that the nand flash driver. Lede didn't accept it, as there are some duplicated drivers and they prefer to merge. We still not sure how to proceed with the nand driver.

ahhh, I see. That's a difficult situation indeed. Hope you will manage something out. Thanks for information.

Any updates on this?

The current lede snapshot does not work with the NAND version:

Try lede fork here https://github.com/domino-team/lede-ar300m

I have question - are you going to support openwrt too? Would be great if you could add openwrt support too.

Hi,

https://www.gl-inet.com/ar300m/

I want to buy AR300M. Above link suggests that it comes with OpenWRT. But, when I browse openWRT website for supported devices, I don't find AR300M. It says to support AR300.

should i get AR300 or AR300M ?

Hi @alzhao ,

Ok.

I want to install soft-ether client package on OpenWRT. Is it possible to install it from Router AR300M Web GUI ?

alzhao commented 7 years ago

I am not sure it is in our repo. If you have ipk, you can try to install using ssh. On Fri, 24 Feb 2017 at 21:17, Mehul Prajapati notifications@github.com wrote:

Hi @alzhao ,

I have package of it on GitHub.

Can I build and install it with the toolchain of AR300M ?

alzhao commented 7 years ago

Yes of course. Where is it? On Fri, 24 Feb 2017 at 21:21, Mehul Prajapati notifications@github.com wrote:

Hi @alzhao ,

Source can be downloaded from: http://www.softether-download.com/en.aspx?product=softether

I can access AR300M console and run make command on it.

So, will it build like this way ?

alzhao commented 7 years ago

No. you have to use toolchain and cross compile. On Fri, 24 Feb 2017 at 21:24, Mehul Prajapati notifications@github.com wrote:

May I know, where is the toolchain located ?

alzhao commented 7 years ago

If you can compile the toolchain by yourself or download the sdk from openwrt. Let me have a check of the source. On Fri, 24 Feb 2017 at 21:26, Mehul Prajapati notifications@github.com wrote:

mehul-m-prajapati commented 7 years ago

I mean, which tool-chain do I need to install in my local machine ?

alzhao commented 7 years ago

https://github.com/domino-team/openwrt-cc try compile openwrt and you will have the toolchain in your machine.

alzhao commented 7 years ago

https://github.com/el1n/OpenWRT-package-softether/tree/master/softethervpn There is a openwrt package so it should be much eaiser to compile. Or you can just use their binary files from http://b.mikomoe.jp/ . They have ar71xx version which can works on our AR150 and AR300M

mehul-m-prajapati commented 7 years ago

Ok. Thanks @alzhao
