Blender and OS versions Blender 2.80 Alpha, Windows 10 x64

Describe the bug After adding to the addon's list (installed), when clicking the enable checkbox blender hangs, and doesn't respond.

Hangs Blender...

Error message N/A

How to Reproduce Install Addon Try to Check Enable Checkbox.

just watched a video by CG Geek on youtube.... not sure what version they were using...but it worked fine.

I also tried this, .The map is not loading, A kind of white screen appears. Action performed: ->Enabled Blender GIS in preference(set cache folder location) ->on the main screen selected GIS>>Web geodata>>basemap ->selected Google and satellite option and clicked ok -> a white screen appeared Observation: ->As I move the mouse, latitude and longitude displayed on top of screen changes but latitude and longitude value do not contain the point. Eg instead of a latitude value 14.0888 it shows 140888(May it is just a display string). ->Latitude is changing as you move the mouse to select options like file or edit. So I can not select any option as the click is detected as a click on the map(my assumption) ->a cache file(GOOGLE_SAT_WM.gpkg,size 48kb) is getting created in cache folder.

other details Blender version 2.82 Os: windows 10 (These are my observations,, maybe wrong as I am not a regular user of Blender and this is my first time.)

So about the original issue raised by @DeanVanGreunen (Blender not responding), in fact when the addon is enable for the first time it download an extra library named ImageIO, I suspect the issue come from here. Please, can you report logging informations : start Blender through a system console and report back the messages printed. You can also set the logging level in the addon preferences to "debug" to increase the level of informations that will be reported.
