Hello, I add an interface for android auto. I test it on my car with https://github.com/Eselter/AA-Phenotype-Patcher (root needed). Google may allow in the future 3rd party app on android auto or allow to publish home automation app compatible with android auto on the playstore.

Can you maybe make some images/screenshots on how it looks on Android Auto??

Im reading through the documentation here: https://developer.android.com/training/cars/navigation

and they dont state that the minSDK should be 23.. only the target... weird

FYI we are not allowed to use this android auto sdk just yet... So i cant publish this in the app store>

Does this mean that we can now test this without rooted devices? Or can we now just upload them to closed beta testing, but not use them yet..?
