Moved functions into grnsight-api.js #1001

Moved some lingering "$.getJSON" and "$.ajax" function calls in the web app, into the grnsight-api.js module so that all such network calls are in one place

@Sarronnn should create a pull request into beta not master. From there we can resolve the merge conflicts and do a code review

Target changed to beta but yes might not have helped due to provenance of branch— @Sarronnn if you run into issues with your current branch, just start over: delete the existing Saronnn branch and create a new one from the latest beta
