As a general solution, there is an app in Cydia called Lockdown that allows you
to
lock any applications that you wish so that they require a PIN when invoked.

Testing it with Siphon, I locked the app for the first time while it was already
running via Backgrounder, and I experienced a crash to Safe Mode the very first
time
that I tried to invoke Siphon. After a respring that first time, Siphon,
Backgrounder
and Lockdown have all worked seamlessly together.
