Check for update failure: Kamikaze 8.09.2 + x-wrt r4710 #157

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Kamikaze 8.09.2
2. Workaround uninstalling luci, then install x-wrt 4710.
3. Click "Check for Webif Update".

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected: Show my the latest version available to install.
Actual Result: "ERROR CHECKING FOR UPDATE".

Shows: "ERROR CHECKING FOR UPDATE: doesn't exist (http://downloads.x-
wrt.org/xwrt/kamikaze/prereleases/8.09.1/brcm47xx/.version)"

If I change my /etc/opkg.conf to: http://downloads.x-
wrt.org/xwrt/kamikaze/snapshots/brcm47xx/packages
I then receive:
    "webif² update available: r4747 - view changes"

But, clicking "Update/Reinstall Webif" shows:

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system and web
browser?

Same version(s) as shown above.

From the command line, attempting the upgrade shows the error:

Can you try again with a 8.02.2 image.

same problem with r4838 (using prebuilt 8.09.2 default image brcm-2.4)

Check your /etc/opkg.conf and make sure it is correct.

same problem here, opkg.conf attached. I'm currenty using webif r4838.

Try again, the .version file didn't get uploaded via my script, but it is there 
now.

trunk should be fixed as soon as the next build completes and uploads as well.
