When I first start up STAMP from the command line it launches properly, but the menu bar at the top remains for the Terminal. This can be fixed by
1) clicking back on the Terminal screen (behind STAMP window)
2) clicking focus back on the STAMP GUI
This then gives the proper menu bar at the top showing "python File View".
No idea how or if this can be fixed, but I thought I would let others know since initially I thought STAMP was completely not usable on my Mac.
