I will take this assignment. First I'll take a stab at classifying the databases heuristically, and describe what I've come up with, then solicit suggestions for the kinds of information about the data that would satisfy use cases.

L.A. County's Open Data Web Site: http://data.lacounty.gov
Socrata-based. If there is other L.A. County data you need, please let me know
