Open Source Cad data for the vats? #7

I was given a pegasus with broken vat. I will make my own but would be quicker if there were already step files to base my vat from.

I am thinking of making a vat based on Moai FEP vat and releasing the cad source files for the community

I don't have anything for a VAT replacement. I've been careful with my existing VAT, but I haven't had time to do anything further with the printer for a few years.

did u managed to make your firmware work and print reliably?

depended on the print. There were some issues I was not able to resolve, in particular how to ensure there wasn't vacuum pressure that would build up between the VAT and print that was greater than the strength of the print to the build plate.

did you write up the galvo control for the beaglebone embedded mcus all from scratch?

what does the machine read with this mod of yours gcode?

what software were u using to slice?

galvo control is all in the source code, all written from scratch based on tracing the PCB and reviewing the specs for the various chips.

You would pass it gcode.

I was using slic3r. My config files are included. The software to run the printer also has a config file to control items such as power, speed, etc.
