Haven't looked at the code but in my opinion the notes field should be bigger (a few lines). I also don't really like the button "Save" but as of right now I don't have a better idea.

I agree with Dorota, it could be some kind of textbox and the button save could be under this textbox align: bottom-right or something like that

It is a text box. There's no classic text box in Android
