I and some people using China X79 motherboards found that UNC patch doesn't work. Our motherboards vary from single socket to dual socket so the behaviors are different:
With single CPU setup (either on single socket or dual socket board), we get kernel panic (IOPCIFamily) or restart during boot. The solution is removing all unused cores from DSDT in order boot into macOS/installer successfully

This doesn't seem to be issue with good-brand-name mother boards (https://github.com/BrushXue/EP2C602-4LD16-E5-2667v2-Hackintosh, https://github.com/kevinisaacperez/DellT5600Hackintosh). China X99 dual socket motherboards don't have this issue either (https://github.com/markkpa/x99-t8d-and-x99-f8d-Opencore-Hackintosh). Very likely it's a common issue among China X79 motherboards only.
