“Discord Lite” is damaged and can’t be opened #36

Hello, I have a MBP 2011 w/ High Sierra and downloaded v. 0.3.4-alpha both from Github/website and saved it in the Applications folder. However, when I try to launch it, I am getting an error message "“Discord Lite” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.". Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks

pretty sure this made to run on power pc cpus, i dont think it will work only thing higher then 10.6, MacOS 10.13 or "High Sierra" will not work.

It will, you just need to clear extended attributes on it, then it will open no issue. Just run "xattr -cr /path/to/Discord\ Lite.app" in Terminal, then it'll open.

  1. Yes that indeed worked. The app appeared and I can log in. Thanks
  2. However, when I'm logged in and try to go in any channel, there's a popup at the top of the Discord Lite app which says: "Error: Missing Access" and I can't see anything from the channels I subscribed.
