After installation cannot boot to Post Install and Cache Rebuild #110

Hello there,

Once I have used Catalina Patcher V1.4.4 with Catalina Installer 10.15.5 to install to a MacBookPro5,5 (13" mid 2009) or MacBookPro7,1 (13" mid 2010) I cannot boot into the Patcher again to get to things like the Post Install Utility. Booting the Patcher drive (an external drive) stops at Recovery Assistant/macOS Recovery. There are no options to quit/cancel that.

Is there a way to get past the Recovery Assistant once Catalina with the patcher is (partly) installed on the Mac?

The Firmware on both machines is at the latest copy possible.

I wanted to get to the Post Install utilities to see if installing the Patches from there would prevent the EFI slice from mounting.

Hello,

I have the same issue. On the Post Install Utility if you uncheck all the scripts the os will boot normaly.

With no selected item it's seems only to set file permissions. I suppose when you shutdown you mac properly something set bad permission on certain file who crash the boot.
