Problem with my DVD Drive - iMac Late 2009 #193

Hello!

I have an iMac Late 2009, 21.5Inch, and i have installed catalina with the patcher. But now the DVD Drive wont work. I tried something and when i restart the mac with the dvd in the dvd can be reading.

but when the mac starts without dvd and i put one in nothing happs only i hear spinning.

what is the problem? can anyone help me please

Had this too on a 2009 macbook pro. I think it's just a bug in the patcher. I had to restart with the dvd inside whenever i wanted to burn something.
