1.4.4: Was working. 1.4.5: Did the Patch update, but now Brightness change does not work anymore. Volume does work.

Fix?

anti malware bite was running, this causes a crash installing the patch. De-Installed anti-malware.

reboot

re-run Patcher /Applications/Utilities/Patch Update.app -> View installed updates -> Re-Install ALL

Reboot. Works
