Installed on Mac Pro 5.1 and now I can’t even access recovery or safe mode. No screen output just hangs on power light after chime.

anybody know how to fix this?

I’ve reset NVram and Pram, tried boot disk, recovery mode

Update.

Took SSD out and it works fine as a ext drive hooked to my MacBook, so patcher has somehow screwed with the hardware in my Mac Pro.

It also boots fine on my MBP as the previous OS (Mojave)

Is your keyboard connected with USB instead of Bluetooth? Does your GPU normally have boot-screen in MacPro5,1?

Maybe your boot-rom is corrupted https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/macpro5-1-bootrom-thread-144-0-0-0-0.2132317/

Yes wired keyboard

No GPU boot screen. MSI Radeon RX570 8GB

Boot rom was updated when I installed the metal compatible card.

All been working fine until dosdude patcher.

Some audio plugins I use on my MBP 2018 were only compatible post mojave, hence the attempt to run Cat. :-(

You'll need to temporarily install the OEM or EFI flashed video card into the machine to get a boot screen, and from there the installation can be performed. Once the installation is done, you can re-install the RX570.

Thank You

I put the original video card back in as per the previous suggestion but it was the same. Power but nothing beyond that. It behaved the same way. :-/
