Problem Statement

Browser tool randomly opening and closing folders.

Steps to Reproduce

An odd issue where folders seem to open a close at random or it open/closes for everybody together.

It also doesn’t remember your current folder.

It is only observed on version 23.01.10.

It seems that somehow information about what item is selected is made accessible for both of the browser sessions. Somehow information is stored in such a way that the incognito window navigating to /site-browser is able to pick up that info. My guess is that something like that is happening for the users on 23.01.10. Users are simultaneously interacting with dotCMS and storing information in the backend about the state of the browser. Then other users get forced to load up the saved state when refreshing the site browser page.

This is fixed on the latest master It is fixed on 23.10.24

Reproducible on 23.01.10 ( 23.10.24_lts_v10)

I will be testing it on the LTS versions released later to find the fix.
